Support from RWA’s for selling Distressed Farm Produce

Inspiration- Support from Residential Welfare Associations came forward to maintain sustainability in the process.

Consequently, continuous effort of WAR ROOM and Operational process of Vandhe Bharatham Foundation, Few Resident Welfare Associations of Bangalore took an initiative of maintain between the people, providing decent space for selling fruits and vegetable, organising methods, informing customers in prior came in support of the stressed farmers.

By positive response to the initiative of helping distressed farmers during the pandemic time by organising a platform at their locality for the HOPCOMS and Farmers to come directly and sell their farm produce by maintaining the social distancing. In that Malleswaram Sirur Park Residents Welfare Association was one of the RWA’s who set the stage in the early days of COVID on how to organise a platform for Distress Farmers who can sell their produce by Pre Cautionary measures such as Social Distancing and maintaining the hygiene at the point of sale. They also invited Corporator Shri. SathyaNarayana to endorse the activity so that the message would reach all other communities and set an example to all other corporators of different wards.

Residents who were celebrities such as Ms. Sudha Rani (Actress: Kannada Film Industry) also took part actively in support to the Distressed Farmers. Also few of the residents who were interested in the activity came forward and appreciated the initiative of Vandhe Bharatham Foundation during this Pandemic Situation.
