Flood Relief 2019
Natural calamity is the worst scenario where the victims suffer a lot losing their house, crop, properties and everything for which they have toiled their whole life.
In recent past Karnataka State has seen many of such instances where people lost their houses, belongings and everything. As a token of fine gesture, Vandhe Bharatham team collected and distributed 3 truckloads of essential goods worth Rs.45 lakhs to flood victims in Dakshina Kannada District. Also similar gesture was given to the flood victims of North Karnataka as well. We have helped the rehabilitation centers at Gadag and Mudhol also.
Once the floods recede, we plan to initiate series of programs collaborating with Govt. agencies to build the life for all the victims and boost their morale by extending help for insurance claims, stabilizing the soil, helping them to obtain documents that might have lost and damaged; Furthermore, training them to overcome the calamities in coming days, taking care of health against infectious diseases, ensuring job for the deprived youth and many more programs are in the pipeline. Vandhe Bharatham, expresses sincere thanks of gratitude to the donors for their contributions and overwhelming response, reassures them of the unstinted service for the victimized needy people at the other end.
Unprecedented support/response from the Citizens for the initiative of Vandhe Bharatham in association with Sri Prathyangira Devi Temple Trust - in an attempt to help the flood victims has ignited our spirit of serving the needy. We have dispatched one vehicle full of flood relief materials to Puttur and another full load to Belthangadi in Dakshina Kannada District. . Relief materials will be distributed only to the real flood victims under the clear supervision of our volunteers. Next consignments will be dispatched in the coming week. We sincerely thank every donors for their kind hearted support and extending their helping hands for this noble cause. Also Vandhe Bharatham group distributed the relief materials to the flood victims at Nelyadi. MLA of Puttur and few Government officials helped in distribution of the materials during this event.
